Teagasc at the Ploughing Championships
The National Ploughing Championships 2026 takes place from September 15th to 17th at Screggan, Tullamore, County Offaly.

Visit the Teagasc ‘Science Supporting Farming‘ marquee and outdoor exhibit to meet our team of experts and get practical advice on the issues that matter most to you.
From farming and livestock to farm management, succession, education, health and safety and environmental sustainability, our experts will be on hand to answer your questions, share the latest research and provide practical solutions for your farm.
Visitors can also explore Teagasc’s work supporting the food industry, with interactive exhibits showcasing food innovation, gut health, reducing food waste and getting more value from crops.
Outdoor exhibit
Explore our outdoor exhibit area and discover practical ways to improve farm productivity, reduce costs and protect the environment.
Our grassland demonstration will showcase the benefits of clover and multispecies swards, including how they can reduce reliance on chemical nitrogen fertiliser while maintaining productive, high-quality swards. Visitors can see different sward types and learn how clover and other species can improve nutrient use efficiency.
Teagasc beef, dairy and sheep specialists will demonstrate how to manage different silage qualities and balance them with concentrate feeds, while answering your livestock questions.
Experts from Teagasc ASSAP, Signpost and Forestry will highlight practical ways farmers can protect water, biodiversity and soil, while showing how environmental measures can also benefit farm profitability.

Indoor exhibit
In our marquee, visitors can meet Teagasc experts in education, farm management, succession, farm health and safety, and receive advice on all aspects of farming.
