Rameesha Ahmad
Project Title: Media Framing of Farm Diversification: Understanding of Adoption Decisions
Biography: Rameesha is a first-year PhD researcher exploring how farm diversification pathways are represented across both mainstream and specialist media. Her research examines how farm diversification is framed, which issues are prioritised, and how farmers interpret and engage with this information when making decisions about their own farms. She is particularly interested in how farmers balance media messaging with their existing knowledge and experience. A key aspect of her work is investigating whether media communications influence farmers’ behaviour and their decisions to adopt innovative and sustainable agricultural practices. Outside of her research work, she enjoys watching Formula 1 races and learning about aviation.
