Aayoush RegmiProject Title: Modelling the impact of rising temperature and seasonal drought on the productivity of key forest species

Biography: Aayoush is a Master’s research student at University College Dublin. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and has developed a strong foundation in forestry and biodiversity conservation. He is interested on understanding how forests responds to increasing environmental and climatic changes using quantitative and spatial techniques.

He is currently working on the AgriAdapt project, using climate data and tree-ring measurements to examine tree growth response to drought. By linking past climate conditions with patterns of tree growth, he aims to understand how drought conditions affect the growth of key forest species in Ireland, thus providing evidence to support adaptive forest management and improve forest resilience.
